Request for Expression of Interest and Nominations in NCSC teams for term 2025-2026

Dear Community members,

The Board of Trustees’ meeting held on 29th of September, 2024 constituted the NCSC Election Committee 2024 as follows:

• Election Committee:

  • Mr. Basu Bhandari (Chair)

  • Mr. Dhananjaya Dhakal

  • Mrs. Sirjana Sharma Dhakal

  • Mr. Suman Karki

  • Mr. Baikuntha Bikram Thapa

As per the mandate given by the NCSC current bylaws, the election committee is publishing the following announcement to all the NCSC members:

1. As per the clause 8.8 of the NCSC bylaws, the Election Committee will give emphasis on consensus, while forming the Executive Board (BOT) and the Executive Committee (EC) of NCSC for 2025-2026; if unable to do so, the Election Committee will conduct the election as below:

2. • Election Process Timeline

     1. December 01, 2024: NCSC shall provide Eligible voters’ list to the Election Committee.

     2. December 08 to December 14, 2024 (5 pm) - Nomination period.

     3. December 15 (5pm) – Nomination List will be posted in the Nepali Mandir/social Media.

     4. December 16/17 (5 pm) – Time to file objection to any candidate.

     5. December 18 (5 pm)- Last date/time to withdraw the nomination; final list of candidates will be released.

     6. December 28, 2024- Election date if needed (10 am -3 pm)

3. The following NCSC offices are subject to election for 2025-2026:

4. Positions for the BOT “Executive Board” (EB) and nomination fees are as follows:

   • Position #1: Chairperson-1 – (Nomination Fee $500)

   • Position #2: Vice Chairperson - Organization and Management (O&M)-1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #3 Vice Chairperson - Investment, Planning, and Finance (IPF)-1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #4 Director – Finance Director – 1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #5 Director- Director of Asset Management – 1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #6 Secretary -1 (Nomination Fee $300)

5. Positions for the “Executive Committee” EC and nomination fees are as follows:

   • Position #1: President-1 (Nomination Fee $500)

   • Position #2: First Vice President- Operation and Management (O&M)-1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #3: Second Vice President-Communication and Compliance (C&C)-1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #4: General Secretary -1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #5: Secretary -1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #6: Treasurer-1 (Nomination Fee $300)

   • Position #7: Assistant Treasurer-1(Nomination Fee $300)

     • Mahaprasad Management Coordinator [MMC] (Nomination Fee $100)

     • Mahaprasad Sponsor Search Coordinator [MSC] (Nomination Fee $100)

Nomination submission:

Begins: 12:00 pm, Saturday, December 07, 2024

Ends: 5:00 pm, Saturday, December 14, 2024

The Election Committee members will be available Saturday (December 07, 2024) from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and Saturday (December 14, 2024) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at NCSC office.
